"This is how it works: everyday i play a record for my dad and transcribe the conversation we have about it. simple.

This is who we are:

Ruan: 26 year old Irish boy.

Nick: 70 year old Dutch man, grew up in Holland during WWII. Has been a beatnik, an artist, an 80’s advertising guy, and most recently a graphic designer & computer nerd. His favorite bands / artists are Beethoven, Miles Davis, Talking Heads and Arcade Fire."

Bombhouse: Scribble Box Exhibition!

The lovely people at Bombhouse have invited Tinderbox Members to submit entries for their Scribble Box exhibition.

We're just waiting to get our cryptic clue. I will post it up here as soon as they get back to us. It would be great if we could all contribute to the show. Collaborations are also encouraged.

Bombhouse invites you to participate in bringing all the galleries, studios and visual artists in Dublin together under one roof. This exciting new project aims to exhibit work from as many artists as possible in the name of art creation and production.

The idea is simple. We send each group, whether they be a studio, collective or a group of artists we have put together, a different clue from an Irish Times cryptic crossword. Each artist in the group interprets this clue whatever way they wish. All we ask is that it is square in format and wall mountable.

Send us your artwork and we will put on an exhibition of epic proportions. The opening night will be July 2nd so get creating. This exhibition will be a great opportunity for artists of varying disciplines to come together and showcase their talents. We believe this project has the potential to be something great but in order for it be successful we need as many artists to get involved as possible.

Deadline for submissions is June 18th.
