I got a dvd of it free in a newspaper recently and put it on thinking maybe I just thought it was boring cos I was younger...but no, it was still boring! I did love the design of the models though!
i liked the slow paced world of wind in the willows, their little homes i loved. it looks really good, even when its stop motion it has a wes anderson feel, but the american accents for some reason just dont feel right
yeah some of the accents really kind of took over from the character designs, especially george clooney i think. But yeah the suits are all very Wes Anderson alright! and the use of Futura for the titles!
I was a bit put off with the Americanness of it too. I always imagined Fantastic Mr Fox as a very British book, almost essentially Brittish! It was one of my favourite books as a child. I do love Wes Anderson though, i think I'll get over the accents thing cos he'll capture the eccentricity nicely... I also like the Jason Schwartzman's character is a small guy too.

it kinda looks like Wind in the Willows actually, except not boring
Ah come on! Toadie was exciting with his love of fast cars, but yes this does look interesting.
Can't wait to see it! But I have to defend The Wind in the Willows. Come on, remember the baby mice??!!

The accent thing got to me too, but I still like the idea of bill murray playing a badger!
