Diego Rivera and Frida Kahlo at the Irish Museum of Modern Art

This show is on at the moment, went by today some really beautiful Kahlo pieces, some Rivera, they don't do him justice but interesting none the less. It was quite exciting for me as I wrote my Degree and Masters paper on Mexican Muralists and the American Art scene in the 1930's, which both of these artist left an indelible mark on. The 1930's are a period in the America's history that I find fascinating and if I could exist somewhere else but now it would be then or the wild west of course. It's on till june and costs 5 euro. go see.

Yes, beautiful exhibition (includes diary pages, yes), her paintings were the most striking pieces, I think.

If you guys go to IMMA, check out too the masks by Romuald Hazoumè, humorous yet dead serious.
