Work in progress

Have you ever had a piece that you never really finish?, I think I'm almost there. I have changed the composition, I don't know how many times, but I like the technique so I kept plugging away at it every once and a while, I hope to screen print it eventually...

It looks finished to me fran! Everything I do is 'unfinished' it seems. Always hard to say when something's done. But this looks done and I think its great :)

I like it, it is a bit mysterious. Who are all those beings, and... does the tree have loads of teeth??

Thanx for lovely comments! Elida, to answer your questions the little beings are me, when I was small I loved to spy a lot, and was I a little sinister about this, playing tricks on people and then observing their reaction from a safe distance. I grew up in rural Tipperary what can I say, I was probably bored. The shapes I use to decorate the tree are a bit teeth like, they weren't meant to be, but they are meant to be a little threatening I guess. Now that I look at it again I'm thinking "Little Shop of Horrors".

hey Fran I love the geometric design of the tree, this would look really good screenprinted so keep plugging! The miniFrans are kinda creepy, like little fairies guarding their fairy fort!

love the 'fran' behind the bottom of the tree in particular, you know she is watching you (thankfully from a safe distance!) but yeah I agree, it definitely has a creepy feel to it-love it!!
